How Cute Is This?

I still have one or two gifts to be united with their new owners and one of them I am reluctant to part with:

I have to tell you that I do not collect dolls, bears or even have any in the house (apart from those on GG's bed which are very firmly HERS)......I don't even peer into prams cooing softly....(now there's an admission!) but.....
when I went to the Mary Howard sale back at the end of November (or was it December? It seems so long ago now) I came across a stall selling everything to make a little girl's dreams come true. The business is called 'frilly lily' (www.frillylily.co.uk) and they make the most divine dressing up clothes for little gorgeous girls, alongside which they sell small versions of same for said gorgeous girls' dolls & bears....
What's not to love?!!!...............s

  1. Very cute, takes me back to when everything these teenage lovelies od mine said and did was cute. Sometimes I long for those days.
I think this one is a keeper!

  2. I think it's the frou-frou headband that I love. If only everyone dressed like this, imagine the fun we would all be having! I think I actually read an article about Frilly Lily just the other day and how she started the business because she was only able to buy Disney-style dress up clothes for her daughter. Don't you adore those stories where someone has found a niche market and filled it with aplomb? Thanks for sharing this Susie...hope you're having a lovely start to your year. Meredy xo.

  3. I love the way that this Teddy is dressed, Susie. It is very '70's isn't it ? It reminds me of Ollivia Newton-John when she did ' Let's get Physical ' !!!! XXXX

  4. Jeanne - me too...I have my GG here for a very short while & sometimes I look at her and think if only I could just buy her a new bear instead of a plane ticket.....
Meredy - I didn't know the story of frilly lily - thanks for that...good luck with Operation Boombah (I'm with you!!)
Jackie - I hadn't thought of that but you're right...it's the headband! Hope you're a few degrees warmer up there than we are!

  5. Hi Susie
Well I have to admit I am rather like you.. no peaking into strollers, no goo goo gaga.. well only occasionally...ha

As a child I had a teddy [which i still have] and my mother would make all sorts of outfits for it... even a Santa Suit so... this is really a kind of cute memory...Love it...

Thanks for stopping by over my way... xx Julie
