It's nearly THAT time again....

Output from the M.H on the blogging front has been a bit (to coin an Aussie phrase I picked up!) 'light on' of late - the reason being that we will be doing the red-eye run to Heathrow again tomorrow morning & have been running around like headless chickens (that's the anglicised version!) doing all the last minute things we 'meant' to do in the last few weeks....
I can't believe my GG is leaving so soon...the time has flown past...when she first arrived, she had a list of all the supper dishes she misses and I was given instructions to serve them all before she departed!! We haven't even got through the list! It can't be time yet.....
The last few days have passed in a bit of a blur - shopping trips to collect things seen but not bought, collection of items not available (or more expensive!) in Sydney, visits to family to deliver presents not yet given because of the snow & generally trying to get organised for her return to uni. Normal transmission soon to be resumed.........s

  1. Oh Susie... thinking of you and know how hard those last few days are not only the running around but the inevitable sadness at the goodbyes too... But hopefully you will be out in Oz soon?

  2. Susie..I am with Sarah..Oz soon?...I will join you! My nose is cold, my toes are cold and my fingers are only warm because I am madly typing away. Time for tea...love that english tradition! Stay warm and safe journey to all :)

  4. A flurry of family busy-ness indeed. I hope you can savour every moment with your GG before she returns to Oz. Looking forward to normal transmission...when you're able. Meredy xo.
p.s. the cake on the last post was a chocolate sheet cake with chocolate and almond icing. Sinfully delicious and only the tiniest of pieces for me. I am completely in love with the fact that you have an Aga. I believe they are a bit tricky, but once you've got the hang of them, delicious results will ensue. I've used a wood burning Aga on a country holiday years ago and it made the most amazing scones.
